TWENTY FOUR BIDDERS IN FRAY FOR UDAIPUR AIRPORT PROJECT

As per latest developments, twenty four companies have submitted their bids for the commercial operation, maintenance of terminal building, development and operation of cargo facilities and city-side development of the Udaipur Airport in Rajasthan.

The firms who have expressed interest include GMR Infrastructure, L&T Infrastructure-DPL-Unique Consortium, Reliance Energy, GVK-Leighton-ETA Consortium, Gammon Infrastructure Projects, Unitech, Ansal Properties & Infrastructure, TRIL-Changi-Tata Power, Essar-Celebi-Vipul, among others.

The last date for submitting bids for the proposed airport was January 24, 2008 and the applications were opened for evaluation on January 28, 2008.
